About Piper Soccer Club
The Piper Soccer Club is a Non-Profit Organization founded to grow the game of soccer in the Piper community of Kansas City, KS. To accomplish the goal of growing the game, Piper SC will offer opportunities for young boys and girls to develop skills through camps, practices, and organized team competitions.
The ultimate goal of Piper SC is to have a minumum of one boys team and one girls team at each grade level from PreK through 8th Grade, or U5 - U14. These teams will compete at the recreation level of Metro United Soccer Club in each fall and spring season. Through the growth of the program, a second or even third team could develop at a grade level offering the opportunity for teams to compete at a higher level of competition through Independent Premier and local tournaments.
Piper SC will operate a Summer Camp each year to develop skills, encourage teamwork, and promote the game of soccer throughout the community of Piper.
Piper SC Beliefs
* Every team in the program needs to have a roster consisting of 75% of students currently enrolled in the Piper School District.
* At the Recreation level, parent coaching and involvement is highly encouraged. If possible, any parent is encouraged to obtain an F-Level coaching license for no charge through KSYSA.
* This is a grass-roots movement to bring the sport of soccer to the Piper community. Any and all help is welcomed and appreciated from helping to coach, organize practices, camps, and other team events, coordinating fund-raisers and sponsors, to providing snacks for teams after games. This is an effort for the youth of the community made possible by the contributions of the community.
* All players, coaches, parents, and fans associated with Piper SC will do their individual part to maintain a positive, safe, and fun atmosphere at all practices and games. Each person named above will promote good sportsmanship, individual responsibility, and respect for players, coaches, officials, fans of opposing teams, and themselves at all times. Any time we are out in the Kansas City Metro Area, we are representing the Piper community and we will show everyone what it means to be a Piper Pirate. We Are Piper!
